Empty Lines

empty lines

A word was spoken, and bespoke forgotten
A moment passed, and nothing happened;
An eternity flew, in that moment alone,
The world consumed, left, not a stone

The message unwritten, was never passed,
The promises made, didn’t momentarily last;
The precious time, was soon forgotten,
This thoughtless mime, was when begotten

A beautiful mind, a beautiful heart,
Hanging on the wall, by the tip of a dart;
The world will go on, astutely you say,
when the heart on the wall, is not yours that is laid

So much love, between the empty lines,
Of an unwritten letter; it is all in the mind,
You say; a battle of the heart,
Which isn’t over yet.
